The first-generation Ford F-Series is a series of pick up trucks and commercial vehicles produced by Ford. Introduced in 1948 the F-Series was the first post-war truck design from Ford. In a break from previous Ford trucks the F-Series was no longer based upon its car chassis but on a dedicated truck platform. This generation of the F-Series would remain in production until 1952. This Ford is the 1/2 ton pick up truck w/8 matching #s 239 cid Flathead V8 and a Meadow Green glossy paint. We have a 239 cid Flathead Ford V8 w/ a 3 speed manual transmission that has a pep to it when you get on the throttle. The period correct 6 volt wiring system is still in place to help keep originality on the Ford. The Meadow Green w/ cream color accents is a very pleasant color combination on this Ford F-1. With the interior matching the exterior w/ the exception of the headliner being a nice peanut butter color. Bench seat have been wrapped in a nice white vinyl and feels very comfy when driving or riding along in this 49 Ford F-1. Dash has all period correct gauges and trim which also have been painted to match the color scheme on the outside.
