History: This truck was restored and modified by Daniel Smith of Inyokern, California. It was featured in Truck Builder Magazine, June 2005. Daniel found the truck in Fresno, California. He sandblasted and boxed the frame, new floorboards, new firewall, oak boards and stainless strips for the truck bed. Otherwise, the body is original and all steel. Daniel added the drivetrain, the electronic door locks, the Hayden Gas Filler Door, Dodge Dakota Bench Seat, Chevy Van Tilt Wheel, Stewart Warner Gauges, Vintage A/C.
I purchased the truck from Daniel in 2012 and brought it to my home in Denver, Colorado. Since then, I've replaced the Edelbrock carburetor with a Holley. I've also added the following: Tow Kit, Leaf Springs, K&N Filter, ReTrax Pro Tonneau Cover, new battery, replaced the C5 Transmission with an AOD Transmission, replaced Brake Master Cylinder, added new Falken tires, upgraded to a Pioneer Audio System, added Security Alarm System. In 2014, we drove the truck from Denver, Colorado to Treasure Island, Florida which is where we live today. This truck has served me well. I've used it as my Daily Driver for two years but have since purchased a Toyota truck which will serve as my DD. I have two other classic vehicles, (1960 MGA and 1972 Volvo 1800ES Wagon). I'll be keeping the MGA and probably be selling the Volvo.
